The NASA decision was made following review of extensive military clinical data using AMO’s Advanced CustomVue™ LASIK with the IntraLase® Method, which showed the combination of technologies provides superior safety and vision.
Custom IntraLASIK has been FDA Approved for consumers some time now, but knowing that NASA has approved this procedure for astronauts should help add a bit of peace of mind to those considering the surgery.
