LASIK procedure flattens the cornea of myopic patients so that the light rays can be focused precisely & the patient can see both far away and near objects. Hyperopia or farsightedness is a condition in which the cornea is too flat. The patients cannot see near objects well, but can see far away objects. Astigmatism is a condition in which the cornea is of an uneven shape. This shape of the cornea affects vision negatively.

Presbyopia is another condition which can be corrected by the LASIK surgery. LASIK surgery will slow down the changes related to the natural aging process and make the patients’ eyesight sharp and strong.

For Glaucoma patients, the pressure inside the eyes will increase when the fluid in their eyes increases. Glaucoma, if not treated, may cause complete blindness. LASIK procedure helps to remove excess fluid from the eyes.

LASIK eye procedure is also useful in treating diabetic retinopathy and other diabetes associated disorders.
